Another one of my paintings - painted over another one. This one is "Marlon and diatoms", loosely based on Marlon Brando, but not as handsome as the prototype. Oh well. Random guy drinking coffee with his dog and diatoms - they are really beautiful, I want to figure out ways to include them in more paintings. By the way, note how in the beginning stages "Marlon" looks like some sort of puffy scary character.

love it. I'm an artist too, love diatoms, wish i were as good a painter as you are. Aren't there a lot of artist out there today feeling the call to do things with geometry and mandalas, spores and diatoms? Must be the zeitgeist. Good job!
